The Ultimate Reset 9D Breathwork Nov 7th & 8th

Whatever You Don't Face, You Risk Passing Down. But Whatever You Heal, You Have the Power to Change. 🤍

For most of my life, I was a broken little girl chasing accomplishments, believing that if I could just achieve enough, help enough people, earn another degree, write a book, or become successful enough, maybe one day I would finally feel like I was enough.

That little girl grew up to spend 10 years teaching & coaching, earn her master's degree & doctorate, write a book, open her own therapy practice, co-found Breath By Design with her mom, and dedicate over 17 years of her life to understanding people, their pain & what it takes to heal. And while I'm incredibly proud of everything I've worked for, none of those accomplishments could heal the parts of me that were still hurting.

What changed my life wasn't another accomplishment. It was finally having the courage to face myself.

The childhood wounds. The grief. The trauma. The patterns I kept repeating. The parts of myself I had buried beneath being successful, being strong, being needed & being everything for everyone else. And here's something I've learned that I wish more people understood.

Whatever you don't face, you risk passing down.

I know many of you can relate to that statement. Maybe you grew up in a home where emotions weren't safe. Maybe love felt conditional. Maybe conflict meant yelling, silence, abandonment, or punishment. Maybe you became the responsible child, the peacemaker, the overachiever, or the one who learned never to need anything from anyone. And now, as an adult, you find yourself repeating patterns you promised you'd never repeat.

So much of this comes back to our attachment blueprint & nervous system. The environments we grew up in shaped how we learned to experience love, safety, connection, conflict & stress. Those early experiences can influence our relationships, emotional responses & beliefs about ourselves long after childhood ends.

Your attachment blueprint & nervous system patterns influence far more of your adult life than most people realize.

They can influence who you feel attracted to, why you fear abandonment, why you shut down during conflict, why you struggle to trust, why you overgive, why you constantly seek approval & why you can know something isn't healthy but still feel unable to walk away. Our psychology isn't permanently determined by childhood, and biology, temperament & later experiences matter too. But those early patterns can become so familiar that we mistake them for our personality. And that's why I believe so many people spend years addressing the symptoms of their pain without ever exploring the roots.

We try to manage anxiety without asking why our bodies constantly anticipate danger. We try to fix relationships without understanding our attachment wounds. We try to stop people-pleasing without exploring why disappointing someone feels unsafe. We try to overcome burnout without recognizing that we've attached our worth to productivity.

You cannot change a pattern you refuse to acknowledge. And understanding the pattern is only the beginning of changing it.

This is where my own healing journey changed everything. My path eventually took me to Peru, where I experienced the profound depth of traditional plant medicine ceremonies. Those experiences brought me face-to-face with grief, fear, childhood wounds & parts of myself I had spent years avoiding. It wasn't always beautiful. Sometimes healing means confronting the very things you've spent a lifetime trying not to feel.

When I returned home from Peru, I discovered breathwork. I first trained under Brian Kelly in transformational breathwork, then continued my training in 9D Breathwork, exploring the neuroscience, somatic techniques & immersive sound technology behind the experience.

And it changed my life.

Breathwork gave me my life back. It carried me through grief, helped me confront trauma & gave me a way to reconnect with parts of myself I had spent years suppressing. Having experienced both plant medicine & breathwork, I can say that breathwork has personally brought me remarkably close to the emotional depth of those ceremonies without taking psychedelics.

And as a therapist, I genuinely believe that one powerful hour of breathwork can sometimes create the kind of emotional breakthrough someone has been searching for through three to six months of traditional talk therapy. That's my perspective from witnessing this work, not a clinical equivalency or a promise of results. Therapy & breathwork serve different purposes, and lasting change still requires integration. But I've seen how one experience can open a door that years of intellectual understanding hadn't yet opened.

I sometimes describe breathwork as surgery for the mind & body. Not literally, but because of how deeply it can help someone explore the patterns, emotions & protective responses beneath their everyday awareness.

And that is why I believe healing needs more than one doorway.

Sometimes it's therapy to understand your attachment wounds, relationship patterns & beliefs about yourself. Sometimes it's nervous system regulation to help your body recover from chronic stress. Sometimes it's somatic work or breathwork to reconnect with emotions & bodily sensations you've learned to avoid. And sometimes, for appropriately screened individuals, carefully supported plant medicine experiences can offer opportunities for profound introspection, with preparation, safety & integration being essential.

Different modalities. Different doorways. The same hope: that you can begin finding your way back to yourself.

I've had the privilege of learning this work through education, clinical training & years of studying human behavior, but also through fire, initiation, lived experience & doing my own shadow work. I've been the therapist holding space for someone else's pain, and I've been the woman on the other side trying to find her way through her own. I don't claim to have all the answers. But I know what it's like to understand your pain and still feel trapped inside it.

And I believe there's another way.

We live in a world that rewards us for being busy, exhausted, overstimulated, constantly consuming & constantly producing. We've normalized survival mode so much that many people don't even realize how disconnected they've become from themselves.

A regulated nervous system is the new wealth.

Because what good is a beautiful home if you never feel at peace inside it? What good is a successful career if you're too exhausted to enjoy the life you've built? What good is financial freedom if your mind never stops racing & your body never feels safe enough to rest? Real wealth is being able to experience an uncomfortable emotion without allowing it to control your next decision. To love without abandoning yourself. To set a boundary without drowning in guilt. To rest without feeling like you have to earn it.

It's having the freedom to respond instead of constantly reacting.

Two years ago, my mom & I started Breath By Design because we wanted to create spaces where people could experience that possibility for themselves. These past two years have been some of the most meaningful, challenging & beautiful years of my life. If I've been a little MIA, it's because I've been pouring my heart into building this from the ground up while continuing my therapy practice, retreats & my own healing journey. There have been late nights, missed gatherings, sacrifices & moments of exhaustion. But there have also been experiences that reminded me exactly why we started.

And before I share something incredibly special happening in my life, I want to say THANK YOU.

To every person who has trusted me with someone they love, whether that's your spouse, your child, your friend, your family member, or someone you knew was quietly struggling, I don't think I could ever fully express what that means to me. You trusted me with someone's story, their pain, their vulnerability & their hope that life could feel different.

There is no greater honor than someone believing in the work I do enough to send me a person they love.

Every referral, every kind word & every person who has trusted us with their healing has helped build what Uncomplicated Therapy & Breath By Design are today. I will never take that lightly. 🤍 And now, I get to share something that feels incredibly full circle.

I am going to become one of only 25 9D Master Facilitators in the world. 🥹🌎

On November 7–8, I'll have the incredible honor of co-hosting THE ULTIMATE RESET alongside the creator of 9D Breathwork & the global leadership team at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. I'll also be opening the weekend as a keynote speaker, sharing the work that has become such an important part of my life's purpose. I don't think I've fully processed what that means to me yet. Not because another title makes me more valuable. Not because standing on a stage means I've finally accomplished enough.

But because the little girl who once believed she had to do something extraordinary to be worthy now gets to stand in front of hundreds of people & share something that helped her finally recognize she was worthy all along.

And that's why I believe this weekend has the potential to be life-changing for so many people. We're bringing together hundreds of people for two days of stepping away from the demands of everyday life & turning their attention inward. Four brand-new 9D Breathwork journeys led by the creator himself, incredible speakers, neuroscience, trauma-informed facilitators, wellness experiences, recovery opportunities & a community of people who are all there for their own reasons. Some will come carrying grief. Some will come exhausted from years of putting everyone else first. Some will be working through old wounds, and others will simply be curious about what it feels like to reconnect with themselves. There will be opportunities to learn, reflect, experience something new & connect with people who understand that healing is not a destination but a lifelong relationship with ourselves.

And the beautiful part is that we're creating this experience at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, where you can make it an entire weekend away from the noise of everyday life. Between the resort pools, lazy river, Topgolf, beautiful accommodations, dining, wellness experiences & even a silent disco, there's room for both the deeper work & the simple joy of being present. Meals are included during the event, and there are options to attend for one day or spend the full weekend with us. I love that this isn't just about confronting the hard things. It's also about remembering what it feels like to laugh, connect, rest, have fun & enjoy being alive. Because healing shouldn't only be about what we're trying to release. It should also be about making room for the life we want to experience.

If you've ever wondered what I actually do, why I'm so passionate about this work, or what breathwork might offer you, please allow me to open that door for you. I would absolutely love to look out into that audience during my keynote & see my family, friends & familiar faces. The people who have supported me through different chapters of my life, encouraged me & believed in what we were building.

There's absolutely no pressure to attend. My family, friends & community can receive a special discount. Email Us for it!

The most important thing I've learned is that we are capable of so much more than simply surviving our lives.

You don't have to accept feeling disconnected, exhausted, anxious, sad, burned out, or emotionally numb as your permanent reality. You don't have to keep repeating the same cycles. You don't have to keep abandoning yourself to be loved. And you don't have to spend the rest of your life trying to prove that you're enough.

There are ways to begin again. There are tools, approaches & people who can help you find your way back to yourself.

It would be one of the greatest honors of my life to walk alongside you on your healing journey. Not because I have all the answers, but because I know what it feels like to lose yourself, and I know how meaningful it can be to begin finding your way home.

Whatever we don't face, we risk passing down. But whatever we choose to heal, we have the opportunity to change for the generations that come after us.

Maybe changing the world doesn't begin with doing something extraordinary. Maybe it begins with doing the uncomfortable work of healing ourselves. And maybe the greatest accomplishment of my life won't be a doctorate, a book, a business, a stage, or a title.

Maybe it will be knowing that because I chose to heal, I was able to help someone else believe they could heal too.

The world has enough darkness.

We can choose to be the light. 🤍
